Hiring Pest Technicians

NW K9 Bed Bug Detectives & Pest Control is hiring for Pest Control Technicians to work in the Greater Seattle, Tacoma areas.

What We Offer:


  • Starting pay - $18.25 per hour, plus bonuses and commission *Training available
  • Starting pay for Licensed Pest Control Technician with current license $22.50 per hour plus bonuses and Commission.
  • Monday –Friday work weeks *on rare occasions weekend work is required

  • Apply pesticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
  • Set up and stage propane and electrical heaters for thermal remediation of pests
  • Record and document results
  • Drive company vehicle to customers’ houses or places of business
  • Call customers to confirm scheduled services
  • Educate customers on treatment processes for pest management and set expectations
  • Respond on a timely basis to customers’ requests for telephone and in-person service calls
  • Use digital platform for service orders and reports
  • Maintain clean organized vehicle and take care of equipment with regular maintenance
  • Assist in sales to current customers
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Ability to perform all tasks outlined under essential duties in a timely, professional efficient manner
  • Learn and become proficient in using electronic pest control software for routes and reports
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in high heat environments
  • Pass drug test


  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
  • Prefer Washington State Pest Control License
  • Ability to obtain a Pest Control License from WSDA within the first 60 days of employment
  • Pass drug test


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent


  • Ability to read, write and comprehend documents in English
  • We perform record information on: motor vehicle records and criminal backgrounds. *Criminal backgrounds will not automatically disqualify candidates
